F 150 rearend locking up off &on

Just purchased a 2001 F150 and the rearend keeps locking up,i brought it to dealers garage .they said they fix it that the rear brakes were hanging up and they had to replace the rear axle bearings and seals cause bearings were what was locking up,that was yesterday .got in it today drove maybe 16 miles and its doing same thing only wheels squeeal when i make it go forward/reverse,back to the shop.i think the dealer is trying to cut corners.im not a mechanic so dont know if there trying to shaft me with a qwuick fix that will last the lenght of the 30 day drivetrain coverage.HELP

Well if it were me and they have not been paid or the bank has your loan, tell them there will be no payments until it's fixed and with proof of what it was.
If that's the case, tell them they still own the truck until it's fixed.
Your sale was an agreement to purchuse a vehicle that was fault free for normal use and drivability.
Good luck.

Cool

No, its to late for that i paid in cash , $ 6000 and they cover tax and put it on the road for me,seemed like a good deal BUT i didnt have my glasses with me so the (unscrupulous) dealer highlighted where to sign and my head not being screwed on tight(lot on my mind) at the moment. I didnt realize that he put the price i paid as $ 3165.75 not the $6000 cash i paid. He just wrote paid in full.I only get a 30 day drivetrain coverage & N.Y.States lemon law only pertains to vehicals under 100000 miles ,i have 1086370. It will work out fine as long as i keep the truck ( i do like it )but if i try to return it do to it being a lemon i loose close to $3000.00 nice huh.Well they replaced the rear axel bearings friday and today monday they replaced most of the E.brake except for the cable. It seems to have stoped so far and no more vibration when braking.Next i need to try the 4x4 out.It was tuff today waiting to get the F150 fixed my 96 Bronco drove by as to say sell me will ya.
