Question 97 F150 Lift and Tires Questions!

Hi guys I new here and have some questions about my truck. I want to run a 35 with a 3in bodylift. Can it be done. Im all for trimming some plastic if need be. I found some General Grabber 35x12.5x16 for $890 a set with free shipping. I dont have a lot to spend. Thanks for helping!

Yes yes yes and more yes. I've done it a bunch and so have friends. Crank your Tbars also if you need to level it.

If you 4x4 yes, you might have to trim a little and possibly crank up your torsions some. If your 2x4 there's no chance of it fitting without serious rubbing.

What wheels are you going to run? The backspace on those depends on your rubbing.

Also are you going to install the body lift yourself, because the labor on them is far from cheap.

I have ran 35's on 16x10 RCX with a 4.5" backspace with just a Tbar crank. I have also ran 37" tires with a 3" BL with a T bar crank (with trimming).

4.56 with 35's seems to be what's generally recommended.

If you have 5.4v8 with 3:73's I wouldnt bother re-gearing. 4.6 v8 with 3:55's might be a little sluggish but will work till you get the funds. 4:56 is a good gear but is pretty deep for just 35's imo

I'm running 35s with 3.55 and it is a little sluggish like westtnfx4 said but it's not horrible, I've had it like this for I guess over a year now and it hasn't bothered me enough to get it regeared, but then again I'd rather make my rent payments instead of putting more into the truck ha.
