Are 4.88s to much gear for 35s??

Hey guys looking at putting gears in the truck. Was thinking 4.88s if I ever wanted to go up to a 37 or 38" tire. Will the 4.88s be to much for the 35s??? Any words of wisdom will help. Thanks

I had 4.88s with 36's. They were great offroad, but on the steet it was a little much. If you plan on going to a 38 youll be ok.

I'm a bg fan of the 4.56s and believe they can support a 38 tall tire if desire down the road. SAme as a 3.31 rear or 3.55. One is good cruise and other is more towards towing.
