Pi heads

Im looking to put mustang pi heads on my 2000 xlt 4.6. What is included in doing this and what kind of gains can i expect to see. Im also planing getting them ported and polished.

You are essentially putting the same heads you have on now. I may be wrong, but you might have a problem putting your exhaust manifolds up to the Mustang heads. The ports on a stang are oval like vs round, not 100% on this. I don't see the swap as being worthwhile, small gains even with a P&P on the heads. Remember, just my thoughts!

so im looking at 60 hp give or take. Would u guys recommend this over a supercharger or turbo as price and power gains are conserned.

60hp from what? You must have bought those from someone on craigslists. There was a guy on there trying to sell used PI heads for like $500 claiming they add 75hp.

O ik im talking about with the heads and port and polish and a tune i might get 60 hp

I could see 75hp with full exhaust, P&P, cams, and tune

so as far as cost and power increase goes would u guys do a supercharger or heads, cams, p&p, and a tune

PI heads will add a little bit. it actually closer to 40 hp on the newer 4.6's. I would go forced induction..

If i put low compression pistons in couldnt i use both pi heads and a supercharger
