Changed ignition switch with new key won't start

Hi,
Just changed my ignition switch with replacement due to my losing my key in yard. Only one I had damn the luck. Replaced switch but engine won't start. Why? Please help I'm waiting your response.

tow to the dealer to get the PATS (antitheft) working again. The truck wont start because it thinks it is being stolen.

Thanks for info. So only the dealer can reprogram PATS or disable it. Correct?

They can program it, but they won't disable it.

If you have an "old" key that is currently programmed into PATS, there is a way around it.

Just remove the antenna ring from around the cylinder, zip tie the programmed key to the ring, then stuff the key and ring waaaaay up under the dash. PATS is happy and, if you never tell anyone, you're as secure as any non-PATS vehicle that uses just a mechanical key.

Ah, crap, never mind. I read closer and see you don't have a good key. Call a tow truck or a mobile locksmith who has the right equipment.
