hey guys, I have a 2003 f-150 supercrew, has only 70K im having problem starting it when its hott. it takes a while to crank it. I had it tuned up, new battery, no problem with the starter, new alternator. what could it be? fuel pump is running well.
Has the fuel filter been changed with your "tune up"?
What was all done with this "tune up"?
What about the MAF sensor?...it might need a cleaning as well.
The throttle body might be in need of a good cleaning too...there are some EGR port in there that like to get carboned up
You can do this yourself. I got a gauge at Autozone for about 35-40 dollars, which was cheaper than renting their gauge kit for the day and I get to keep it. Pressure should be around 35-40 PSI when the key is turned to run and if I remember right about 32 PSI once its starting.
