2003 Tranny dip stick tube removal

Anybody have any experience in this? Is it a difficult job or something a weekend warrior can handle. Mine has a rusted hole in it, need to change it out.

Thanks!

i would say it is probably a job you can do my truck is a 2002 5.4 and if i take off the passenger side inner fender it gets pretty open and more then likely doable. i had a hole in mine also that was noticed by the shop when i was getting my header done and they replaced it but they brought me in and it looked pretty open i would of did it but i was already up there and alot easier. just check your trans fluid level because mine ended up being about a quart low and im assuming the fluid was slowing squirting out of therere and some points

If I remember right, there is one bolt that bolts to the block near the exhaust. Then it's just an O ring fit on the tranny side so once the bolt is off, twist and pull.
