I have a 2000 f-150 lariet. I have only had it for a few months. Yesterday I was driving and noticed the air bag light came on in the insturment cluster? I got home off the truck and started it back up and it was gone. Today I was driving to work and same thing but this time I caught it. The light came on and blinked 3 times and then paused then blinked 2 times. It did this sequence a few times then the light stayed on?
Any ideas what it could be? Sensors of some sort?
I tried turning off the front pass. air bag and it will do the same thing?

 

That's the clock spring in the steering wheel - I bet your horn and cruise control don't always work either.

 

Ah Thank you, I will have to see if the cruise and horn work. I just went out and the horn worked but the light was not on. I am gonna have to drive it tomorrow and when the light comes on then see if cruise and horn work.
Now the big question?
How hard is it to replace?
Any tricks to it?

 

Ok so today drove to work. Light came on about a mile down the road. The horn still worked along with the cruise still works. So on the way home no light came on? So wondering if it may just be a loose connection somewhere like behind the air bag or something?
