I have a 97 4.2 std trans rwd with 118,000. While driving to work today I got off the highway and stopped at a light. When I pulled away the truck felt like it lost some power. I caught the next light red and stopped. I noticed the check engine light came on. My first reaction was computer junk. I then realized that the truck had stalled. I restarted and the truck started and ran like it always does. No codes and all seems well. I drove the truck home and all around without any hickups. Anyone got any thoughts.

IAC would be where I'd start, clean it and the MAF.

Did it throw any codes?

 

no codes and the truck is running like nothing ever happened. IAC may have gotten stuck one time which is a good warning of what's to come. Ill clean it and hope for the best. Thanks Paul
