if it were me I would get a trans temp for sure, oil pressure and if they have it a coolant pressure gauge, because overpressurization killed two vans of ours! Idk much about gauges but a trans temp is a must.

I'd definitely do oil pressure, I never trust the gauge on my dash.

I'd say trans temp, egt or afr, and maybe vacuum. That is what I'm doing. I'd recommend glowshift.com and you can use the coupon code summer11 and save 10%

I only have a 2 pod and I chose trans and water temp (electric) Autometer. I tow a TT, so those temps are most important to me..

If I had a 3 pod, I'd think a vacuum gauge would be my other choice..

I've had oil pressure gauges before and while I know the dash gauge tells you nothing, you either have pressure or you don't.. If you suddenly lose it, seeing it on a gauge or seeing an idiot light come on is about the same deal as far as what's going to happen in the next few seconds...

I've had my 2 gauges for over 8 years and they have been great!

Back when I had my 03 ......I used Dakota Digital combo gauges....three or four functions per gauge, there was push button to select your reading you wanted to view....back then I got them for cost cause my truck was their lab rat.....

Times must be changing, because I think I only paid about $100 for the 2 pod and the 2 autometer gauges from Summit Racing.. They are just the basic 90* sweep gauge with black bezel and white lettering... They have been trouble free, and heck, even the bulbs are still the originals! I have them wired to turn on with the headlights.

AutoMeter has a pretty vast array of gauges with prices at both ends of the spectrum. Theyre arguably the best you can get.
