Are there any online pix or instructions for replacing a broken ****/switch assembly??

If it's the same as a 97, first remove the **** by inserting a small screwdriver in the slot hidden on the bottom of the **** to do this you must turn the headlights on and pull the switch out to the fog position (with or without fogs). next place the **** back on the shaft reversed 180 degrees. turn the switch off and push the **** all the way on the shaft. next turn the switch on and past the on position which will push the release mechanism inside the switch. The switch will pull out of the dash from the left side. It sounds crazy but some rocket scientist designed this system when he was high. lol

 

The '00-'03 switches are removed differently than the '97-'99 switches. '00-'03 are removed by sliding a screwdriver into a slot at the bottom of the switch panel.

 

After checking prices for replacement switches...Decided to let the dealer handle.

Less than 1- hour and $155.60 I have a new, correct, headlamp switch.
