well the time has come: selling the F150

decided it was time for another truck, and missed my 2001 Cummins Ram like hell. i had my truck on craigslist and a guy inquired and was interested, and told me he was selling his truck due to leaving to Marine Corps boot, and his sister and mom couldnt drive a stick. so were trading, plus a little cash to him. it has worked out SO perfect, im so excited to be in a diesel 6spd again! heres the specs, and will put better pics on when i pick it up Thursday and put new tires on. if anyone has any 285/75/16's for sale lemme know

2001 Ram 2500, ext cab, longbed, 4x4, 5.9 Cummins, 6spd, 164k miles, front and rear bumper replacements, toolbox, ladder rack, leveling kit, built 63mm turbo, 150hp injectors, 150lph fuel pump, new plugs, edge juice, 4" turbo-back with flow-through muffler and 6" tip, upgraded clutch and hydraulics, short throw shifter. and i feel like im forgetting something. the tires are pretty shot, so going to grab a new set asap.

Ummmm....what-ever! Looks like he got a descent deal. You ended up with a dodge, so...

But if you're happy, that's all that matters.

Good choice... that's such a good motor. I love the cummins. If Ford had it in the Super Duty, there would be no competition

Looks like a good truck. Too bad you already replaced one trans this yr so it'll suck even more when the dodge trans goes out haha.

The motor is the best thing about those trucks. The back seat is tiny for one.

Good luck with it and it seems like you and Dylan are black smoke fans

i would NEVER buy an automatic Dodge, EVER. but the 5 and 6spd's are great transmissions. i never had an iuuse with the one i had in my 2001 dually, and it had 279k miles on it. my dad has been through 5-6 transmissions on his 2000 5.9 gasser

Looks clean.

Don't particularly care for that front bumper though.

congrats.. i bet it was a few dollars in the trade. i know i would trade my dodge for an oldish ford for a Lil cash plus..

the 6 spd is the smart way to go. great engines. not much to look at but they are the foundation of what a work truck is built on.

BTW that bumper looks terrible!!! Lol

congrats again man!!!!

what bumper looks terrible? the front needs a fresh coat, but thats it. after a few coats if bedliner it will look good as new. the bedrails and rack need a coat too.

but Cummins with a 6spd is a pretty bullit proof combo, im really excited to be in another one. only reason i sold my last was due to it being a single cab 2wd

the front one, to me it just looks out of place.. but like you said, bulletproof powertrain right there..
