Gauges in AC controls
Gauges in AC controls
I have a 2001 F-150 Ext Cab and I purchased a 2002 Eddie Bauer Expedition center console so it has AC controls in the center console. I'm planning on using the controls in the center console. Has anyone heard of taking out the AC controls out of the dash and putting in gauges? Because I'm planning on putting a supercharger and I don't want the gauges on the A pillar. Any help or pictures would be awesome!
You do realize that the controls in the center console are for the rear HVAC, right? I haven't dug into the HVAC system in one of these trucks yet, so I'm not sure how everything's hooked up. If its all electric it could be as simple as lengthening wires. If there's vacuum and/or cables to worry about, you might have some trouble...
I have a picture on my album of the center console. The ones on the front of the console are for the front and the ones on the back are for the rear. I've talked to other people and they say the wire harness will reach the front set.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the front controls are the driver's master set. The rear controls are for the back seat passengers to adjust things. The rear controls can't go any higher if the driver, say, sets the heat at medium as well as the fan. Its the same thing as having the controls in an overhead console (like mine).
