2wd 3.5 fabtech spindle question

I had the fabtech 3.5 spindle kit and daystar 1.5 spacer installed on my 2003 screw. The ride is factory, its perfect. The only thing I don't understand is when you hit big bumps or railroad tracks it looks like the front wheel or suspension bounces up and down fast. Not factory looking at all. You can't feel it but you can see it. I noticed it when my wife was driving it and I was driving behind her. Is that normal or is there a part to fix it. Its not a big deal, just looks alittle odd. I was just wondering if it happens to all the 2wd trucks. Thanks for any feedback.

The shocks are prob stock. I was only told to change out the back, because of the 3" block. It rides great, I just didn't know if thats what happens when changing out the spindle. If that was normal or not. You think the shock might have something to do with it?

Worn out shocks would definitely cause it to bounce more. How many miles do you have on the stock shocks? Most people say to replace them around 40k.

That must be it because they haven't been changed. I got the truck at 20,000 miles and it has 100,000 on it now. I never noticed a diffrence in the ride to even think about it. Is there a longer shock needed or just replace it with factory ones. Thanks for the replies.

Not with spindles, they don't effect shock length. Just look into a higher quality shock over oem brand.

Pizzaman is right. The spindle won't effect the shock length but that daystar spacer will. You can always take a picture of the shock and post it on here and we should be able to tell if its a stock shock. Look into something with a little more length.

i had the same setup on my old truck and i noticed the same thing. i would go over speed bumps and it felt like it was alot stiffer and bounced more. i didn't go with performance shocks when i put the lift on i just stuck with the oem style shock

Thanks for all the replies. I am positive it is a factory shock. It has never been changed. A buddy of mine owns a mechanic shop and he put the lift on. I never gave him any shocks to put on. The back shocks are procomp es something, can't remember. What should I get for the front then? The same ones? Thanks again for the replies and I will post a picture of the truck when my wife gets back from town.

You probably have the es1000 shocks. You can run the same for the front. They are not the best but still decent. Bilsteins are usually the way to go for affordabilty and functionaily when it comes to shocks.

Is it a 3" block or a 2" block in the fabtech 3.5 spindle lift kit.
