Looks good. I've been planning to do the same for the door panels. How did you get the glued panel off? Did you glue it back?

 

the panel is plastic welded through the holes in the 6th picture... the ones that were welded i broke off.... but there should be some that are not welded with some washers and screws i screwed it back on....if you want ill take my panel off and take a pic of what i did just let me know......

I think I got what you did. Is that vinyl or leather? I'm also planning to wrap the handle - but have not yet figured out how to do it nicely (without sewing machine).
