recently added a back rack

Picked up a used rack last fall.
Had it powdercoated semi-gloss black.
Picked up the mounting kit ($100 fyi).
Got some vinyl letters printed out (something different).
I'm likin' it so far.
FYI, MFR will send you free BACK RACK stickers, just contact them.

MFR? whats that and... looks great can i get a pic of the mounts? that would be great also! thanks! i have a toolbox and the rails are stupid u lose another 2 inches of your back window with having to lift it, so im fabbing my own out of flat steel angle and having it about a quarter of an inch off the box instead of 2 inches!

MFR... (Manufacturer)

I can take some pics of my mounts.
FYI, there's a funky shaped/bent mounting bolt in the kit, one for each side.
Bolt has 3 bends to it @ different angles.
It bolts the bracket on top, and then to the inside wall of the bed.
A couple large washers keep everything snug to inside wall.
This bolt would not be easy to fab.
Fabbing the welded mounting brackets, doable.

yea i figured... i am going to cut my bolt and fab it to work with my f150 ... it doesnt work cause the stake holes are soooo close to the cab of the truck... i couldnt see any logical way other than fabbing a bolt to make the brackets work... which apparently is what they have done

The bolts are bent, definitely held with a fixture / jig when formed.
Threads on each of my bolts were flattened at each end.
I had to have each bolt chased. I was not impressed.
I contaced the manufacture and let him know.
I asked if they were made in asia/imported, he said from the Amish.
Are there any Amish over in China?
Must be same Amish making that 'electric flaming space heater' seen on TV.
I've had my rack on for two months now.
Not impressed with the bracket quality considering I paid $100.
They didn't clean up any weld splatter before they painted the brackets.
Now that weld splatter is already coming through.
Paint has started to separate from the splatter, tiny rust spots are showing.
