I have a 1997 4x4 5.4L F-150 with a Tow package. Attempting to replace the power steering pump, but the Tow Package adapter (where the oil filter used to go) is in the way and must be removed. Our problem: Can't find any documentation on this thing (gaskets, orings). An even bigger problem is it has a monster Hex fastener (at least 1/2 inch) which sort of resembles a button bolt. It would take a very large Hex wrench. We're also not sure how this thing comes apart and what problems we're buying into once removed. Plan to call the Ford Service desk tomorrow (closed today), but was hoping for some info from the forum in the event I can get something done today.

I bought the truck in '99 and the tow package was already installed. We are pretty sure it was factory installed or dealer installed.

The guys at Auto Zone came up empty.
