just got the truck; cruise does not work; checked all fuses. Does anyone have any advise or suggestions? Checked the VIN # and it's not on the recall list. help

 

When mine quit it was the sensor on the brake master cylinder. I guess they get brake fluid in them and they quit working. Real easy to change. Good luck.

 

I have a 98 F150 and the cruise control does not work. Did the suggestion to check the sensor on brake cylinder work???

 

Sounds like you guys need to take your trucks into the dealer to have the recall done. Unless you would like to have a scorching pile of metal in your front yard.

 

If the recall has already been done, the pressure switch can still fail and cause the cruise to go out. At least the truck won't burn up if the fuse in the harness blows like it's supposed to....

i agree this happened to me too and then it caught fire luckily for me i caught it in time and it olny got the resevoir and master cylinder and got lucky again and ford covered everything b/c they didnt have the part when i went in and said they disconnected it which clearly they didnt
