Damn, I guess so lol. These will work -

Globals CoilOverPlug 8 pack @ $79.95

Uneeks CoilOverPlug 10 pack @ $109.99

Thanks Patrick. And as for the coils, - yea that is strange, but I've seen it before, -they just need to be DG508's for the two valves.

WHen I had it changed last, the guy put in the cheap Walmart Autolite type. I figure BOsche -4 probably be alot better in term of sparks. Maybe I will run those for about 10k then switch out with Motorcraft or NGK

For the past few days, I changed engine oil, transmission oil/filter, bleed brake fluids, change brake pads. A new set of used/recondition fuel injectors, a new fuel compression regulator, new spark plugs.
Just waiting on the new spark coil set and an EGR time delay switch
Alot of work and $$$pent *a bit over $500 on all the parts already. I really am hoping this would help the misfirings.

Okay guys, here's some more update. I got the coils this afternoon and the EGR valve, I installed everything and it fired up great! I ran around the block a few times then shut it down. But after the 2nd time firing it up, it started to shake a bit and the engine ran a little weaker. Nevertheless, it is running much stronger than before. I was able to cruise 50-60mph easily at 1500rpm. Just at starting its a bit weak.

Should i replace more sensors ? ...

After about 6 miles on the road, I got a SEL on. I checked on the scanner and these are what I got:

P0401- Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected
P0156 -02 Sensor Circuit
P1151 - Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch-Sensor Indicates Lean-Bank 2at

So...what would be the remedy ?

po401 is DPFE code check for loose hose on the DPFE my bet is with all the screwing around you been doing in there you knocked one loose..
1151 & 156 might be vacuum leak check the PVC elbow at the back of the throttle body..

Jethat - you are right about the hoses. I got them switched on the EGR relay switch. I plugged them back in the right places. The PVC elbow was loose as well, I remember just screwing it in with my hand and not with a wrench. I will get it tighten up in the morning.

But after driving to get gas tonight and after Seafoaming it. I got another code for Misfiring on Cylinder 6. I opened it up and checked the coil on 6. It was okay, I then checked for the fuel injector and it looked okay. But then i saw the jumper wire connect from the main wiring hub to injector 6's brown/black stripe wire. I remember that the guy I bought it from said that it was rubbing on the car's frame, got cut, and so he cut it and jump it from there to the injector #6.

But its going through the intake header and under the EGR valve, both which get hot during operation. I noticed the jumper wire get a bit hard along the exposing area to the header. So i ducted taped it a few times and put a few extra round around where it might come in contact with the heat.

I dont know if that going to work. But after unscrewing the wiring harness from the ECU it resets itself and all the SEL went away.

I guess I will have to drive it around some more tomorrow to get the SEL back on and see if it still got the misfire code- which is what I've been trying desperately to get rid of.

- The best news is that it is running cleanly and none of the cylinders dumping fuel. So the exhaust is clear of fuel!!!

more update tomorrow.

Okay, I tightened up the PVC elbow but its still very weak at acceleration as if something is stuffing it. But once I get it past 2000rpm and past 35mph, it cruises on just fine.

I think I might have a vacuum leak somewhere. It idle and from 1st to 2nd gear very rough. Shaking so hard I can feel the bottle rattling.

My vacuum gauge wont be here til Wednesday I will have to wait a few more days to see if that is the real issue.

THe P1151 and P1156 still there. Im ordering 2 oxygen sensors. I hope that should fix the issue.

While waiting for the O2 sensors to arrive, I swapped out bank1 and bank2 sensors.
I got this on the reading:
Bank 1:

Sensor 1
STFT 1.5%
Output 0.0100 v

Sensor 2
STFT 99.0%
Output 0.0000 v

Bank2

Sensor 1
STFT 0.0000
Output 0.0150 v

Sensor2
STFT 99.9%
Output 0.000 v

I have no idea what these numbers mean...

Today I got a vacuum gauge from HarborFreight. I tested the vacuum and got a reading in the red zone of "LATE IGNITION TIMING" which is about 14-16 PSI.

I got a vacuum reading of 15 or 16 PSI. Thats too low right ?

Could someone confirm it with me ? Im using the gauge that also measures the fuel compression as well.

THanks

Pretty sure the sensor2s are supposed to read 0.000v. If they where higher than 0 then that could tell you that there is a problem with your cats.

You need to fill your info in, -top right corner. I've searched and can't your engine or model year vehicle. It's very hard to help when you don't fill your vehicle info in upon joining this site and it's a hassle trying to find it.

I figure, if your serious and want the help, then that's the least you can do.
