Get a dynomax buller or magnaflow magnapack and have it exit infront of the tire or if you want to dump it... dump it OVER the rear axle. It will sound better and just as loud as straight pipe.

dynomax bullet exit in front of the rear tire. Loudest you can go without touching the converters.

It's like 40 buck... save up for it... straights usually sound like crap imo

$40 for the bullet and youll have to pay a little to add and bend pipe to go in front of the rear tire. Get a cheap tip and your good to go. Youll be out the door under $100 and youll be stoked. Sell your 40 series on craigslist after you take it off to get some $$ back cuz youll never want to go back to that POS.

I also run straight pipes... Loud enough to turn heads when you get on it, but no real drone while on the highway, IMO... I love my straight pipes, haha.

I have ran straights the dumped right under the cab.. sounded not to bad IMHO. im thinking now straight exit infront of tire, bullet infront of tire or SLP LM1 infront of tire..

I ran them on my expedition to just dumped right at the muffler. Sounds pretty good but I put a 40 series on mine because I could really tell the difference in performance. Didn't run so hot without the muffler.
