Wiring in new extra cigarette lighter question

Hey I did the Expy bucket/console swap, and my console has a cigarette lighter on the back just below the rear cupholders. I'd like to be able to use that. Anyone have any ideas where I should get power for that? Should I get a fuse tap and run it off the same fuse as the other lighters?

just pull any constant power source and ground and use them. you can get it from the other plugs or even radio

Lighter circuits are rated and fused at 10 amp max. with proper wire size.
Wire and use proper methods to keep fire hazards to a min.
A cig socket is different than a acc socket so look at this aspect.
Good luck.

Ohhh... yeah... I've got the acc socket, not the cig socket. So how much does that change?

No change. Just do the install to good standards.
They are still rated to 10 amps max for the socket and plugs.
The cig sockets are just enough different that a standard ACC plug is not reliable when used in CIG socket.
Good luck.
