What my situation is is that I have a 97 F150 and got to looking at the roof the other day and noticed some big spots on my paint from where it looks like the clear coat has came off and is all rough now and faded. I'm not sure how to fix this. There is one just above my windshield and one in the back under my cb antenna. The one in the front has a little bit of rust starting to show now and don't want it to get any worst. What do I need to do to fix this and whats the cost difference for just the roof painted compared to redoing the whole truck professionally?

I would sand down and repaint the whole roof.

 

That's what a shop would do, -color then re-clear the entire roof. Might cost yuh 400 bucks.
