Gauges not working properly

So I know that this topic has been covered by a lot of different people but I have not found the answer I'm looking for and am not sure where to post this. I'll start by saying that none of my gauges with the exception of the gas gauge and the speedometer work. Everyone tells me about the fuse #29 problem and tells me to check the wiring harness near the shifter. The thing is I've checked all of my fuses and none are blown. My truck is also standard shift (4.6L, 5 speed), so the auto shift lever and od have nothing to do with my problem. Radio also seems to be affected, (ie. static/popping noises on startup/turn off and when signal light is on). Could this be an alternator issue or should I pull the cluster and check all of those connections? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

get the battery checked. The gauges flucuating is one of the first signs that a bettery is failing.

Well they don't fluctuate. When I start the truck they go all the way to the maximum position (except the gas gauge, speedometer, and tachometer) and they stay at the max position until I turn the truck off and then they go back down. Also battery tested to be just fine.
