what is my truck worth? (keeping it!!!)

getting ready to sell my 97 f150 4x4 xlt regular cab with the 5.4. The reason im selling is to help fund a 04-08 f150. This has been my truck for the last 5 years and i have taken really good care of it and it is almost flawless. trying to get some advice on what i should start my asking price at. here is what i have replaced in the last 20k miles and all what i have done to it.
new upper and lower ball joints
new wheel/hub bearings (both sides)
new cv axles (both sides)
new sway bar links
new rotors
new brake pads
new 2 piece driveshaft
replaced all coils and plugs
new a/c compressor
changed front and rear diff fluids

K&N cai
edge evo
cat back exhaust running out of corners
kenwood excellon cd player
rockford fosgate 1500 watt amp
vented pro box with 12'' quantum subwoofer
tweeters
fog lights behind grill
3in perf acc body lift with gap guards
315-75r16 mickey thompson baja claws (60% tread)
mickey thompson classic II wheels
uws toolbox
westin chrome step bars

truck has 172k miles on it which are all highway miles and i have never put it in mud or even a dirt road. no leaks anywhere and it runs perfect. the only problems with it is the lock/unlock button on the driver side doesnt work, the headliner is starting to come down in a few places, and the back bumper has a few small dents. i have ran nothing but mobile one full synthetic in it and change the oil every 3k miles. what do you guys think it is worth? there are pics in my albums

Well some of the mods you've done don't necessarily add to the value of the truck, unless you find someone that is pretty much wanting almost exactly what you have.

But being you have replaced a decent amount of the mechanical parts on it recently, and it appears to be in good condition for the age in mileage, I would say you could probably get about $1000-$1200 above what KBB says it's worth for private party sale.

IMO, I would try and return it to stock as much as possible, and sell some of the larger items separately.

Well I hope if that happens, the kid learns he needs to take care of it for him to take care of him. :o

Reg cab, 11 years old, 172,ooo miles.
IMO without seeing the actual condition of the truck, interior, exterior, frame etc etc.
$3500 would be reasonable and $4k Top dollar on a "Private Party" sale.
Good luck

Try listing it on mautofied.com. It seems like more people go for modded trucks on that site so you can sell it to people that may care more about your mods

The truck is worth about $3000-3500.

If you ask $6500, you are right, you won't sell it.

Then why sell it? What's so desirable about an 04-08 model year over your current truck?

i could offer you 100,000 for the truck, doesn't mean squat until you have ash in hand. if you can get 5800 or 6200 take it and run.
