So i've been around this forums for awhile now and haven't really posted anything or showed you guys my truck, so i thought maybe now was a good time since we just finished my new push bar.

About the truck, its my first vehicle i've owned and got it a couple weeks after i got my license (im 17). Its a 98 4.6l 5spd standard with around 210xxxkm on it and running great. Ive done a few mods on it now like gotts mod, L-style heads, bedlinered rockers and bumpers, 2 10" alpines and a 500w pheonix gold amp under the back seat, edge evo, and also painted the grille and flares black.
So this weekend me and my dad bought some steel and got to work on a prerunner style bumper and it turned out great imo. let me know what you guys think! Ill be ordering fogs for it soon.



Sorry they aren't the greatest pics ill try and get some better ones soon. She also isn't the cleanest, we got over 4ft of snow rapidly melting here so its going to be a mess for awhile
My nexts plans for her are:

-5" rxc suspension lift
-35"s (haven't decided on what kind, just going to get a used set to cut costs)
-black rims (probably AR artillaries or rock crawlers)
-Redue the whole interior - seatscovers, headliner, carpet, some paint, and i might look into using an ipad as a deck. I saw a guy on here doing it and it looks pretty neat. i was thinking of just a touch screen deck, but im really bored with the stock HVAC controls so if anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear um
-swap my 4.6 to a 4bta, might get done this summer or next winter
-toolbox

And one last quick question, after putting my subs in i've noticed when i turn my truck and deck on that my subs hum, whether or not a songs playing and it gets louder depending on how loud i have the volume set and how loud i have the settings on my amp. But it stops if i turn my truck off and keep my deck on. Does anyone know what this is, and what i can do to fix it?? its pretty loud and is getting really annoying!

Man that's a great looking bumper! Awsome work. Does that bar mount to the bumper or just underneath?

Its mounts to the stock bolts on my tow hooks.
We're still looking around for a good deal on one, there a bit harder to find up in Canada. But this summer i have to go down to michigan for a hockey scouting camp so im hoping we can find one while we're down there!

Ye, we welded on some brackets before we put it on, just gotta order some. Probably just gonna get 3 hella 500's or depending on the deals i can find

Looks good man! as for sub humming it can be causes by interference from another electrical source

 

Sub interference usually comes from a set of bad rca's or a ground that isn't very good.

 

^hmm my buddy told me since I ran my RC and power cable up to my deck together that i could be the power interfernce from that, so i might try rerouting it and see what happens.

Buxton: Im going to be getting a new grille cause as you can see mine is broken in some spots so when i do ill PTM and go with a billet.

Yea that too, but he said it doesn't do it when the trucks not running so its probably gonna be caused by something that is on with the truck

 

 

Now you just need to remove the stock bumper and put a skid plate on and have a true prerunner bumper, but I may be a little biased to those styles
