n00b looking to build bug out truck.

Hi, i have a 2001 xlt 4x4 with about 103k on it, ive had it a cupple years and have put a few thousand in it, now its starting to rust all over, more or less turning to dust.

so i decided to make a bug out- PAW truck out of it, but im having a hard time finding good sites with parts... things like roof rack, bumpers, extra fuel tanks, storage ext... any help would be great thanks,

i will try and put pics on photobucket so i can link.

Might try http://www.expeditionportal.com/...there's a few F-150 overland-style builds over there to give you some ideas. I dunno if anybody makes a rack for the f-150, but I'm sure you could adapt one from another vehicle or fab one up.

As far as bumpers, Road Armor makes a pretty gnarly looking one with a winch mount, but get ready to bust out the Visa card...

I think it's basically a vehicle they can take out anywhere for a long long way and not have to worry about anything going wrong with it, and having a way to fix anything that breaks
