EDIT: Can one of you guys with the tow mirrors measure how far out they stick, like from the side window to the outer edge of the mirror, I just want to see how much wider they really are
ill be out and about tonight. if i can remember ill take some measurements and post them up.

no doubt there. Its to bad we didnt realize how much interest there was in these mirrors, or we could have all tried to do a group buy on these things.

Rightly so, I sent him an email essentially saying that word had gotten around to a few truck forums about these mirrors. I bought mine from optionracing as well because I heard people were having good luck with them. Their response was simply "appreciate the business, and keep them coming."

The shipping was fast, the mirrors are high quality, and for $200 you cant really beat how much of an improvement over the stock mirrors that these are. I was looking into towing mirrors for our limited excursion and they are well over $300.

Let there be Light!

Here ya go guys. Just installed my driver side towing mirror tonight. I ordered the ones with the turn signals and I decided to add running lights too! I purchased Trucklite 36115Y LED marker lights at my local NAPA ($18.00 ea.). They have 3 bright LED's and the wiring goes out the back of the light housing. It mounts by drilling a 3/8" hole in the mirror and pushes in tightly. It also has a super holding 3M tape on the back as well. No screws. Mounts very tight and isn't going to move anywhere. I ran (1) 20 ga. wire through the mirror to the door panel and spliced into the wire on the window switch that illuminates the switches when the parking lights are on. It is much easier than running through the door to a circuit in the cab. Since the LED's draw so little power, I didn't see an issue tapping into the lighted window switch. I then connected the LED light to the hotwire and then spliced the LED ground wire into the ground wire off the turn signal lense on the mirror. Everything came out really clean and it looks awesome! These mirrors are a definate improvement!

i like How that led looks on there. Got any up close pics of what it looks like just mounted there? The way you wired that light up is almost identical to how i wired my 'turnsignals' up. i decided to make them running lights insted of turns and they look BA i think. my only problem with them is that you cant see them from the front of the truck, so i might consider what you have done here..... if i see some pictures and i like how they look on there.

I am going to be installing the passenger side mirror tonight and will take some more close up pictures. I will post up on here soon. I thought about making my turn signal a marker light, but was not sure if it would be able to be seen from the front.

Here's a better shot of the LED light. I tried these mirrors out the other night towing my car hauler and i'll tell you what, once you install them, you will NEVER go back to the stock mirrors! The bigger mirror along with the convex mirror on the bottom makes towing and backing SO much easier! The view of the trailer while backing is probably about 10 times better with these mirrors. Now I see how good the Super Duty guys have had it! And the LED running lights look SWEET at night! I love my new F-150 Super Duty!
