I broke something changing my plugs

So as I was getting one of my spark plugs out, it took quite a bit of effort to turn the ratchet, but when it finally broke loose, it knocked my hand and the ratchet into some other wires, and I'm pretty sure broke this connector off. I don't know what this is, or what it goes to (at least I know it goes to the bottom of whatever that is in the picture). Just how screwed am I?

I'm not sure what it is, but doesn't this **** you off! Seems to always happen to me. Or I drop a tool or piece in the engine.

Evaporative Emissions Canister Purge Valve. You broke the white line stem on the solenoid.

Okay, so, I don't know what that means. How difficult/expensive is that to fix? And can I drive my truck with that stem broken? I haven't even tried to turn it on yet... I'm a little scared to

Seriously? Or were you saying that with as just brainstorming (and if so, I appreciate you trying to help)? I looked up the part, but do I need to replace the solenoid, or the cable? Or do I need to replace it all?

That's an Emissions vac supply line (white) connect. It's a white supply line that connects to the solenoid , you just can't see it from the pic. It's covered up. You can't glue that, you need a new one. I've broke those before, the solenoid stem is what's broke

Take an 8mm socket/ratchet set up and some dikes with you to the bone yard and get another. Or order a new purge valve assembly from the dealership.

You can run without it, just plug the line.

Btw - Learn how to remove those Green and White elbows,- without breaking them lol. It can be done w/WD40 and patience. If you break the top ring, they won't stay connected. Hopefully you'll be able to practice with one from the salvage yard.

Gotcha. So is it the line that I need to replace, or the solenoid? Or both? Does that line just plug back into a new solenoid?

The busted piece is stuck inside the little black rubber elbow. The line is fine, just pull the broken piece and plug it with a golf T or whatever until your able to get another assembly, - purge valve assembly that's bolted to the firewall with two 8mm bolts.

You can see how it connects here, -and where it broke off the bottom of the solenoid -
