99 v10 craigslist $450

Decisions Decisions, found a 99 v10 from an e350 on craigslist for $450. Been looking to swap out the 5.4 in my 99 f150 4x4. After doing some research, ive found that it is doable. I followed on thread where a guy did it and loves it, better towing, more power, and claims better fuel mileage since its in a lighter duty truck. He says if i remember correctly, 18 to 20 mpg. I know it would be some work, but he makes it sound if its not as bad as you think. Def some time and fab work, but that is to be expected. Anybody else been around this experience? Any input? TRIED DELETING THIS POST, CANT FIGURE OUT HOW.

Yeah, I would think you would be closer to half that, probably around 10-13 mpg.

Having done this swap and loving it, I would say do it only at a necessity. I did it since my 5.4 gave up on me, so spending the money on a motor was inevitable. You'll love the torque, and pulling power. It is a little slow on the top end, but what else would you expect from a motor made for towing.

If you need anything, PM me and I've also done a small write up on here under 99 expedition v10 swap.
