2000 150 4.2 5 speed, rear drums, abs on rear. About half the time I start the truck the ABS light will stay on, until it sits overnight. It never comes on when I first start in the a.m., but after a short trip to the beer store, it will almost always stay on for the trip home. I have checked the shoes and they look almost new to me. After all, only 212,000 miles. Yes I know what brakes look like, just rarely use them. It's not really a problem that I can't continue to ignore. The truck stops perfectly, but if I knew why this light came on, maybe I could fix it. We do get snow around here and once, the ABS actually kept me straight during a commute. Thanks

for me it was just a little low on brake fluid...all i did was get some Dot fluid from advance auto removed negative battery cable and filled master cylinder to fill line...hope its this easy...GOOD LUCK
