throttle body
throttle body
So i want to pull my throttle body to clean it, but i have a problem. I cant find the Freakin write up that i want. I know there is a really good one on this site somewhere that has really good pics on everything that needs to be removed with nice little colored arrows and labels. i have been able to find a couple on the actual cleaning, but i cant find the one for removal. If anyone knows where to look (i looked here and in the tech articles) or what phrases to search, or has the link or pics i would greatly appriciate it.
Always check the index in the Articles and How To forum.

There is a part in link below which is called "the part no one knows what it is for"?
When installing S&B CAI, I had to modify it and now I'm looking parts number in case I want to convert back to stock later.

joh408- Perfect man! i know ive seen that link on here somewhere but for the life of me couldnt find it.
Bluejay- I've actually found that one a few times and skimmed through it.
I think i should be good to go as long as it stops with all this rain that we've been getting!

It is a type of muffler/silencer to reduce noise put out by the air flow through the IAC valve.
After cleaning the ridiculous amount of gunk out of the TB on my car this has been on my to do list for the truck. Just need it to warm up so I can get the car out to drive. Thanks for the links. Should be no problem following those write ups. Only came up with one question. Is there a gasket between TB and intake? I see he mentioned one for the IAC.

On the 00, it was a composite intake, which had an rubber seal/ring between the elbow and intake. And a standard gasket between the throttle body and elbow. There is also a egr gasket you will want to grab, as they normally don't survive being removed.
