spectre or k&n air filter
My truck is due for a new air filter and after seeing they want $15 for a paper filter at wal mart I decided I should upgrade to one that can be cleaned and reused. Spctre is around $35 shipped and k&n around $55. I have had k&n in previous vehicles and liked it. Never had or heard any feedback on the Spectre. So what are your opinions?
Just say 'No' to Sphincter or K&N air filters.

Yeah, definitely stay away from K&N. I finally went back to a Motorcraft filter 2-3 weeks ago and got rid of the drop in K&N(which was in the truck when i bought it and I had re-charged the filter and cleaned my MAF when i got the truck initially). Gained back the mileage I had lost by switching filters and cleaning the oil off of my MAF sensor. Went from 11-12mpg's with the K&N back up to 13-14.
Oh, and if you don't want to go through Galaxy, which it is perfectly fine if you do, you should be able to find someone local who is an Amsoil dealer. Just thought it might save the hassle of going through a third party over the internet.

Well that is cool. I wasn't exactly sure how he went about shipping stuff.
