Coils: Accel vs Global vs Uneek

Hey everyone. I've read on here that most of you guys recommend the Global cop's from eBay. I'm about to buy 8 of these things, and I was almost sure about buying Accels until I started reading on here. So, to be sure, should I buy Global over Accel? And what's the difference between Global and Uneek, since they're both the discount cop's on eBay? Also, just wondering why you guys don't like the Accels. Thanks

There have been guys that installed Accel and Granitelli and had failures. Occasionally there is a Global or Uneek, failure, but they are so cheap, not a big deal.

So, price not being an issue, the majority believe Motorcraft to be the most reliable?

Probably, but you can get 3 sets of Globals or Uneeks for the price of the Motorcraft. What some have done for the 3v 5.4 is order for a V10. that way they still save a bunch and have 2 extra if ever needed. BTW, the global look identical to the Motorcraft and it's thought that they come from the same factory.

Try Performance Distributors. http://www.performancedistributors.com/soscoils.htm
Been running their's for awhile now. I don't have the cops, I have the packs. But, if they are anything like mine. You'll be very happy with them.

I'm in the same boat and will be going Global's myself. Doesn't seem Uneek is selling the DG-508's right now.

Global Ignition Coils

It has been awile since those of you that have posted regarding buying Global Coils......... How are they still working???? I cannot find good coils for less than 40 dollars each and I can get Ford direct for 49 dollars each. I fould I can get direct from Glob for a set of eight for the same price as buying one. Are they REALLY worth getting the Global's? Odd that I can buy eight for the price of one generic. I just do not want to throw money away and my ULTIMATE preference is to buy to official Form Direct from Ford. Thank in advance !!!

We have a lot of people running the Globals and I do not recall anyone coming back and saying they failed after a few thousand miles. There have been a few that had failures out of the box, but that is all I recall.

I've been searching the forums quite a bit on this topic since I'm in need of replacements. From what I've read there have been a few cases of people getting a bad coil out of the box but for the price its not that big of a deal. Most people using them have bought 1 or 2 extra just in case that happens.

Here's a link to whats currently listed on Ebay, I'll be purchasing the 8 pack and then a single just in case.

Globals

What about these US made ones?

Has anyone tried these from ecaronline on Ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EIGHT...b3f58158#rpdId

They say they are "Motorcraft" cops $134 for 8. Either way, what about the copper vs aluminum claim?

Definitely have not seen those. I'd be interested to know if they're actually Motorcraft. I put the Globals in mine, and so far I haven't had any problems

I just installed those eCarOnline "USA made" copper ones and so far I've driven around the block with no misfire. Actually it runs perfect now and hopefully will stay that way for a while.
Two of my Global ones gave me grief in the first week and then after 20,000KM I had to change them all again due to bad misfire and no code.
