Lift kit help
Lift kit help
Whats goin on guys, I know the information is everywhere scattered around this site, and I have spent the last couple days reading up on all of the different articles. However before I start this project I'd like to throw it out there to you guys that already have your suspension lifts.
Currently I have just the body lift with 35's. I have been looking at suspension lifts for some time now and going to blow my tax return plus some on a nice lift etc. For the money I don't see how you can beat Rough country.. so i'm asking you guys for the negatives of this lift compared to some of the more expensive ones such as fabtech, bds, etc. As for right now i'm planning 37s by 13.5 ( might change to 38s before its all said and done) I've read of some people using 4.88's and others 4.56s... Does anyone recommend one over the other for a particular reason? The truck will still spend some time on the pavement.
Again.. not tryin to beat a dead horse.. just trying to dot my I's and cross my T's before I get ***** deep into this project. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I've never read a bad review on a RC lift for our trucks. It's just not as popular as Fabtech, RCD and Rancho.
As for gears, you have to look at the big picture of your driving situation and how you use your truck. For intance, I think 4.88's would be best for 37's unless you never, ever tow/haul and drive a lot on the interstate at high speeds.
