2000 F-150 4x4 off road pkg. back wheels slipping

So tonight I was out with some friends and it was starting to rain pretty hard, I shifted my f-150 into 4x4 and drove as normal. We got out and then when we got back into the truck we started it up and started to drive. In the parking lot the back tire started to jerk/slip when I turned, I turned the other way and the same thing happened. So shifted to 2wd....same, into 4wdL...same, after playing around for a bit with it, I got the slipping to stop but I believe it may happen again in the morning.

You really shouldnt drive on pavement in 4x4 like that, thats what was causing the jerking. And when you switched to 2wd, it sounds like it didnt dissengage at first, you switched back to 4x4, well again, thats why it was jerking, 4L on pavement = bad idea. It must have fully dissengaged the second time you switched to 2wd. Which would be why it quit.
