Just Broken In

My 02 F1504x4Scab5.4 passed the 100k mark yesterday. Runs and drives like new. Hope to see a couple more on it. Time for plugs! That should be exciting.

Nice. Original plugs? What oil and filter have you ran? Any other maintenance you have done. I say give it the whole 100k shabang. Pull the TB and elbow, clean it up along with the IAC. Flush your coolant, new plugs, upper 02's etc.. be a whole new truck again.

I bought the truck 2 yrs ago with 69k miles on it. I'm sure the plugs are original. I changed the battery and all the fluids when I bought it except for the rear diff. As long as the LS clutches aren't chattering, I'm not messing with it. All I've done to it so far is service it and bought a set of tires. I did change the shocks to Monroe Sensa-Tracs trying to soften the ride but that was a waste of money. The OE Ranchos were still good. I think it does ride just a little smoother now. The only problem I've had is I had to add one can of freon to the AC. The only outstanding issue with it is the door mirrors don't move with the switch. This hasn't been important enough to me to try to repair. I bought it to take to Wisconsin for a contract job. After that I used it in VA and now in FL.

I put Pennzoil platinum in it every 5k miles at first but the last few times I've switched to Motorcraft Semi-synthetic and Motorcraft filters.

The only mod is a Superchip program that really woke it up!

That truck still has plenty left. I just rolled 175K this week. Truck still runs great.
