Hello..... i Have a 97 Ford F150 XLT with a 4.6L v8 and i just started having spark knock i am thinking a good tune up can fix it. and this is new iv owned the truck for two weeks.

symptoms:
Truck runs awesome but when you hit hills or excell you can hear a spark knock.

i am thinking this might fix it.
plugs
plug wires
air filter
fuel filter
injector cleaner
am i missing any thing

 

A BG or Motorvac intake cleaning job.

So i have been having the same problem with mine i did a lot of stuff and still did it so i tried diffrent fuel and made a huge diffrent i just got new plugs for it tonight and a bottle of sea foam to run in it

 

It's where they hook a machine up to the intake and run it on solvent. It cleans all the carbon out. I have the dealer do a BG job on mine when I have the plugs changed. Last one cost me 85 bucks.
