Cool Viper remote start on the way!

Just got the email from Travis at kcautosound telling me my viper 5901 has been pre wired and is on its way. So excited but im a bit nervous about the install at the same time. I have lots of experience with stereo systems so hopefully that will benefit me.

You can use the Smart Start app with almost any Direct Electronics brand security system.

I will probably do it with my Clifford eventually.

Yes the system im getting is compatible with smart start. I will let you guys know how the install goes. I can't make a write up on it because travis includes instructions on how to install with each kit he sells and that would be unfair to him but i can deffinantly tell you how much trouble i have with it.

Well after about 6 1/2 hours and tapping into every power wire starter wire accessory wire brake wire parking light wire horn wire door lock wire ect ect ect i got it mostly done. Had some issue with the remote start.. turned out i had it in manual trans mode and had to fix a mistake in the pre wiring. I still need to mount the brain in a more study way so the internal shock sensor will work better and ziptie and clean up all the wiring better and fix a issue with the dome light but its all together and working good. Just need some fine tuning. Turns out a previous owner had an alarm and took it out but forgot a couple relays in there that jumbled the wiring schematic a lil had to figure out what they did and undo it. That was a curve ball that wasn't in my instructions but all in all im happy. No more cold mornings
