03 F15 KR Rear Door Handle Problems

Ok so I buy some nice new chrome door handles for my 03 f150 king ranch off ebay. The front 2 work fine i even got the keypad switched over with no problems. When I go to do the rear ones there is a long extension on them that wont reach my chome door handles. So my question is what can I do from here to make them work??

I am showing you examples of what my handle looks like and the chrome rear set i bought. If anyone has solved this problem please let me know what you did yo fix it as well as some pics and what year make model of rod I need, thanks

And this is what my chrome set looks like

Looks like you need to swap the long piece off the old one onto the chrome one.

I wonder if the front door rods would work on the rear doors for the aftermarket handles since they are longer?? just a thought

Update: Bought 2 new left and right front door rods, and bought the clips that go into the actuator. I bent the little plastic clips out and used a brake line clip to keep them in place and that worked perfectly. The handles work great and the door opens and closes like butter. So if anyone else has had this same problem you need to buy the left and right door handle to door actuator rod ( the one with the threads on it) the front nylon insert clips with the yellow latch, 2 brake clips, a pair of needle nose pliers and a tap to extend the threads on the rod a bit. Took me about an hour to do the mod to both back doors.

Shame on you for going from a paint matched handle to chrome. That's just me though
