'99 2wd f150 lift help
Ok, so i desperatly need to lift my truck and get rid of the rims and tires it came with. im looking for a nonexpensive way to lift my truck compared to suspension lifts. IF i put on 3.5" spindles, 3" rear blocks, and a 3" body lift, will all that come together nicely? then throw on some 33" d*ck cepeck mudcountry's on 17"s???
MY suspension is completely stock. plz help!

I ran that same setup on my expedition except I had 3.5 spindle 2" lift spacer and 3" body. You can run 35s with the right backspacing with that setup. If you wanna stick to 33s the setup you stated will be perfect and reasonably cheap. You could have the spindles installed in a hour or 2. Unfortunately, unless you have replaced tie rods and ball joints, your going to run into problems with those because they are going to be slap wore out on a 99.
Ok, so by the sounds of it, its the way to go, and yea im guna have to replace the old parts. So how much trouble am i running into installing the body lift myself? and will this setup require a change of a-arms or anything else to be sure my tires dont get worn to shreds or will correct alignment fix that?
People say you can run a 2.5" spacer but I wouldn't. Go with a 2" spacer if you end up adding one. If you stick to 33s just get spindles and body lift and you can run 33s all day. If you want 35s just add the spacer. Body lift will probably take you 2 days depending on time. I've installed 3 myself and they are very smooth to install the only problem is FORDs have these weird torque bolts that are a huge pain to get out.
If you are getting new ball joints I recommend getting some doestech upper control arms. About 300 bucks but are well worth it. I'm running them with my 7.5 fabtech and 2 spacers and my angles are perfect. You can also replace just the ball joints because they are bolt in.

wow, 2 days, alright, and do u think installing the BL is possible to do by an average mechanic with the usual jacks and jack stands or would i need something a little more hardcore? like a lift?

No special tools need to install a body lift on our trucks. You may have to buy a torx socket that fits the bed bolts. You will need an extra set of hands to remove the cab bolts. You need someone to hold the lower round bushing/nut with a pair of channel locks or a pipe wrench while you remove the bolts.
personally if you do a spindle lift AND a body lift 33's are going to look way too small! My truck has 3.5" spindles & 1.5" coil spacer and I am running 34's with no problem! check out my gallery for pics. Also I have this setup for sale as I am going to full kill long travel front suspension and it is listed in the classifieds...
