Just a friendly reminder
It has been a while since anything has been posted about recalls on these trucks and since then there have been many new members join. This is just a friendly reminder to go to your local dealer and have your truck checked to see if the recalls have been taken care of. Most important being (in my opinion) the cruise control recall. Have a good day and get your trucks checked if you havent already done so!!
I went to my Dealer this morning to pick up a heater blower resistor, so while I was there I hit up the service dept. to check if my cruise had been re-fitted. I was told (after they ran the VIN number ) there was no recall for my truck (2002) and I was good. So the question I have now... what years did it apply to
I certainly don't want to look outside to see a Ford Bonfire
Thanks for the reminder fordf150farmer

follow this link... it says 94-02 f150s are affected. but it doesnt say anything about rangers, and i know for a fact mine had the same recall.... so there is more info out there that needs to be found.

Its no problem at all. Its just something that you dont hear a lot about anymore, and just because you dont hear about it, doesnt mean bad things cant still happen. I would rather clutter up the site, than to hear about even one persons truck (or worse) going up when it didn't need to.
If you go to this web site http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/Cont...ge/RecallsPage and input your vin it will let you know if their are any standing recalls.
I went in and didn'y have any a year later I checked and mine had come up for the cruise controll switch.

I had my cruise fixed, and I'm glad I won't have to worry about her burning down, but the cruise hasn't worked right since.
And the dealer won't take responsibility. So, make sure they do it right.
Ah well, better to avoid explosion than retain the lazy button!
