Weird flopping sound on my driverr side

i have a 99 f150 with 236,000 miles on it and i put 265 75 R16 goodyear wrangler authorities under it. I have noticed a weird flopping sound on my driver side but i only heard it when i was driving like i was riding the grooves cut down the center of the road or on the edge of the highway. today it was unusually noticeable and i felt a weird thumping with my steering wheel. could one of my fender shrouds in my wheel well be getting air around it when i turn or do i have a much bigger problem? Help will this problem would be nice. thanks for commenting.

did the problem start occurring immediately after putting on the new tires? if so, start there. are they used tires? if so, one could be out of round. is there any shaking in the cab or steering wheel - this could also be due to a tire being out of round or unbalanced. if all of this started after getting the tires installed, I suggest heading back to the shop and having them test drive it so they can attempt to diagnose it.

i had them mounted in july and didnt notice anything until maybe a month ago and i thought it was nothing big. yesterday was unusually cold for us when it was only 2 degrees in gettysburg. i checked the problem out before and there was no rubbing, no marks on any frame or suspension components or anything. i had perfect clearance all the way around. when i drove into class today, i didnt notice anything weird like yesterday.

By your description, to me it sounds like a tire is starting to seperate.
