01 Supercrew 5.4 Cranks but will not start

The problem is intermittent. It cranks over strong but will not start. If you unhook both battery cables sometimes it will fix it. Sometimes hitting the panic button takes care of it. It may start up and run fine for a day or a week. But eventually its gonna crank but not start. Whenever I have the problem I have fuel pressure but no spark. Any ideas????

How many miles on it?

Does it sometimes have trouble starting but your able to start it? If so how does it run when it does finally start, like crap? or normal...
I would start with the free more easy things like cleaning the IAC.
When they are dirty, they can cause intermittent starting issues. I'm not sure about the issue with "If you unhook both battery cables sometimes it will fix it. Sometimes hitting the panic button takes care of it." That's a bit odd.

Intermittant starting is one of the signs of a fuel pump going south. Did you check the fuel pressure when it does not start? Did you try starting fluid when it will not start?

Good luck finding your problem

The truck has 113,000 miles on it. It has fuel pressure 40 psi. However when I have the problem there is no spark at the coils. Grounded the # 1 to the valve cover and no spark whatsoever.
