F150 V6 4.2L - SES light on but running fine. Went to Advanced Auto and had codes read was told that I needed to replace intake plentium gaskets and clean mass air flow sensor. Replaced intake gaskets and cleaned mass air flow sensor with throttle body cleaner. Now it is running very rough and smells like rotten eggs. Any ideas or suggestions?

 

Post the codes, not what the "auto store" interpreted them to be. Most of the people who work there have limited mechanical skills. I'm guessing it has something to do with a lean condition, vacuum leak.

 

The throttle body cleaner may have killed the MAF. You should only use MAF cleaner or electronics cleaner on it.

What year is your truck?

 

Wow, TB cleaner on a MAF! That's probably the #1 reason it's running like crap.
