I have a 2000 F-150 like yours except its a flareside. I ordered a sub box from best buy that is designed to fit under the rear seat. I'm not sure if our backseats have different heights or not. It will only hold two 10" subs but no amp. My amp is under the passenger seat. A technician at best buy also had to modify it a little bit so I could fit two Alpine type R 10" subs. They have a different depth cause of the magnets. Sorry no pics. I can't find my cameras memory card usb thing.

The middle support has to come out for the box to fit if the box is one that goes all the way across. The seat is plenty strong enough in the middle to support the weight, and not to mention that the box is designed to be able to help suppost some of that weight.

1) NICE NICE truck. I've got an identical one.. Just no lift. You've given me a vision. Not to thread jack but when you took the small mud flaps off did your fender flares cut off? Or did you replace them. I may just PM you on that.
2) on your sub box(s) did you have to lift the seat?

1st) i only took off the front mud flaps, (wish i didnt because it throws up rocks, dirt, mud, ect all over. and on the back ones i cut them a llittle.
2nd) what does "PM" mean?
3rd) no for those sub boxes i cut the carpet out. but for the ones i have now i am going to most likely have to raise the seat up. but i did have to take the middle bar off. i had to drill the welds out. then pry them off.

I see what you did now. There is a gap.. on the front that is there on the back too if you remove the flap. It's where the fender flare STOPS instead of going all the way down and following the body panel.
