i have a single cab xl f150 5 speed.neways i am going to buy these harley davidson seats. i realize the center counsole will have to be costomized for the 5speed shifter but what else is ivovled with the swap? will it be a direct bolt up? sny help is greatly appreciated.

Should bolt right up, does it have a console in it now or is it bench? The seats should bolt up too, that's a hell of a find too. Jake is working on modding his console for the manual trans, he's got a thread going a few pages back.

 

i have the 60/40 bech right now. i talked with the craigslist poster and am buying just the front two seats and console for 1100. does that seem like a far price

 

Looks to be about right based on Ebay prices, looks like the same listing is on Ebay starting bid is 1700 on the whole thing.

The way the ad reads though it sounds like he wants 2200 for the seats, consoles, door panels and the fender flares. Yet, he's asking you to pay half of that price for just seats and a console. If it was me and I had the money/opportunity I'd jump on it.

With having the bench seats you may have to pull plugs or tap holes to install the console, popular how-to for this.

 

they better be damn perfect for that price. imo its high ive seen full screw interiors for that price but you can make the console work and all the holes needed are in the floor just need to be tapped.

Ebay prices will be high for seats also

 

1100? Dayyuummm.. I picked up lightning seats that were in decent condition awhile back for just a little over $400. Since then I have had them completely re-upholstered and I still havent spent that much!

 

sweet talked down to 900 front seats and console. tommarow im making the 45 min drive to pick it all up then home to "take the truck off the road and start the new interior. i plan on putting in a graphite color headliner and a double din dvd cd player as well. for me this will be a big project. i plan on my truck being "down" for a bout a week or twoo. what do you guys think? i also talked to a friend of mine at a local car audio center here in naples, he said he could build me a custom fiberglass center counsole that will look similar to the one im about to buy, but will hold two 10 inch jl w3. he tiold me to pay for the cost of parts and he would help me since i recently installed a lift on his sons truck. he plans on using the king ranch counsole and chopping it up and redisning it. so what do you all think? is there anything i should do will im at the interior? i was thinking of ripping off the dash and painting it, would this work?

 

You could do the stereo, seats and console in a day probably. Headliner, I don't know, haven't done that yet. Dash is probably a weekend job, from what I understand its a bunch of little hidden screws.

Headliner is easy to do just order fabric online. I redid mine.

 

I have a 99 Super Cab (rear half doors) with "60/40" bench rear and "Captain/60" front I'd like to know how hard it would be to (If I could ever find any) take my seats out and install 4 captains from out of say a 2003 harley truck what would need to be done and how hard would it be??

backburner thought for you: If anyone knows of any CHEAP sets as close to Pasco county Florida (or cheap shipping, Maybe...) as possible let me know so I can maybe check them out.. money permits

 

With a super cab have fun fitting buckets in the rear. Passenger will have no leg room.. been there done that..
