Rollbar and toolbox ?

Anyone have both? If so pics would be nice. I dont want to get rid of my box, but, I'd really like to add a rollbar and some lights.

Pics of rollbars would be awesome as well..

Thanks!

How bout just a headache rack then you can have the best of both worlds without having to give up the functionality of the toolbox.

i dont think it will fit as the tool box hangs over the edge of the box and the roll bars come in from over the edge to tight to the inside. I may be wrong but judging my buddys old truck that had a roll bar i would say it wouldnt fit with a tool box.

Well what I was thinking was that the roll bar pillars would be up against the bed and I was hoping the box would fit between the "B" Bar and the Kickers. And be able to open.

On another note, I found the "sport bars" They look pretty cool but, I'd run into the exact same problem. Cant have both unless I modified them somehow.. But looking at how it's made, I believe I could fab something very similar to this sport bar that just mounted a different way. Then, that kind of defeats the whole purpose of going with the double/single roll bar look that I think would look really mean on my truck!

I have pics in my gallery from when I had a rollbar on, and if you went with a toolbox that sat in the bed, and didnt rest on the sides, it would work. The bar mounted to the bedsides, and had nothing inside the bed.

Yeah.. I dont really like that style... Thanks though. What I want are double/single bars. But, after just seeing the price... I think I'm probably scraping this project for now! ha!

I got tired of the look too. Now its just hanging on the wall in the barn. Hopefully you can find something that will work for ya in a price that you like more.

because I already have a tool box... lol Not going to buy another one, nothing wrong with this one. I'd have to find someone who wanted to trade if I did that.

You might check out this place for custom roll bars...

http://www.truckrollbar.com/3barphot...DS_WWIRES.html

I have been throwing around the idea of building something about like this for my stepside. That way I can keep my chest toolbox in my bed. But if you are wanting to keep you over the rail box and run a roll bar, you kicker bars would have to go almost all the way to your tailgate.

If you want to take on building something yourself, I have autocad and inventor. I could help you layout some plans if you want.
