Anzo Headlights for 2001
Anzo Headlights for 2001
So Just got my Anzo headlights in the mail today and installed on my 2001 f150. Can't say I'm all to pleased. IDK if I just installed them wrong or what, never have done headlights before. The edges protrude and the turn signals have a good inch or 2 gap space from the trucks headlight enclosure. My question is did I install these wrong or is that how they fit. Also how do you adjust the lights up/down, as well as what kind of bulbs is needed to replace the low beams. They aren't bright at all. Any help would be appreciated it since I can't seem to find anything on these lights.

I put in a similar set of lights & had the same problem with not fitting properly. I just took to Ford to get adjusted ($25). It takes a special tool to get into the tight space. You can buy the tool but I was frustrated trying to get them to fit right & just wanted them done. They aren't perfect but I'm happy with the look.
One-piece projectors do not fit well on our trucks. Even for the money they charge, they production/design quality isn't the greatest from those Jap/China products. They base the design off guestimations of stock headlight dimensions, hence you get a very poor fitting product.
Light output is usaully horendous as well, because they use a very weak H3 bulb which are generally used in fog lights, because of their short range pattern.
Dealers can't adjust them well at all, as my local dealer tried twice when I had my projectors. You best bet is to do it yourself, either using the adjustment tool, or pulling the lights, adjusting the screws, putting them back in, and repeating.

My best recommendation to you is this:
- Call Anzo to inquire about the use of HID bulbs in their headlights
~ Ask if the projector lens can support the light beam of a HID bulb
~ Ask if the housing can support the heat produced by some kits
If they say the lights will be fine with HIDs, then I would suggest getting an HID kit for the low beams ONLY, and that should solve the brightness issue.
But also, after you install the HIDs (if you go that route) take a buddy with you in another car, preferably lower than your truck, and see how bad of a glare you get with the lights, then adjust your headlights down according to protect other drivers.

forget ebay actually I bought a set of both LH and RH OEM DOT and SAE approved lightning headlights for 50 bucks on amazon, yeah 50 dollars for both of them, the only issue I have just developed a tiny little gap must have formed in the glue somewhere and a small amount of condensation evolved, nothing some silicone wont fix though. hell for 50 bucks it was a great bargain, in fact the lens even came with free bulbs to.

What brand are they? You should be able to read this off the back of the housing.
They are Eagle EYE lens, they are OEM specs, check them out on my profile they look exactly like lightning lens. Trust me I though it was a scam when I bought them but I figured if its from amazon it must legit. I was right for 50 bucks it was the best deal ive made as far as truck parts go

so you bought some POS lights, you didn't research them before you bought them and you had the same results as everyone else who's purchased themhopefully someone will learn from your mistakes

so you bought aftermarket replicas.
hmm im just saying what the dealer on amazon wrote, but compared to lightning headlights they are pretty close my buddys lightning f150 compared to mine in the headlight department look pretty darn close in proximity. for 50 bucks it was worth it

But I have a set of Harley lights coming so my replicas will be coming out
