iat sensor grommet.....please help asap

upon removing my cai today i relized my iat grommet is broken in two and all dryed out. will it be ok to use some silicone gasket maker like permatex black to seal the sensor in there? my plan was to cover the grommet in silicone and set it into place. sound like a good idea? or should i leave the grommet out and just use the silicone? any suggestions are appreciated thanks in advanced

I've matched them up successfully @ O'Riely's. Take the old one with you tho. You have to get the gutter spread right or close. That's for your intake part thickness. They have an assortment of grommets to chose from.

I've also used Permatex Black, but when their split, your better off replacing.
