Off Road Winch Bumper

Hey i was wondering what would be cheaper build my own custom winch bumber or buy one for my dads 4x4 superduty

2006 F250 6.0L Powerstroke V8
also
1998 F150 Ext Cab 4.6L

if anyone has plans i would love to see them

build most likely... I've priced some for F150's and the cheapest thing I've found for aftermarket for mine is $700, most are in the $1000-$1500 range.
